We are located at 184/4 in Gali Bandook Wali, which is right across from the Masjid at Ajmeri Gate. The lanes around here are quite narrow and can get really crowded during the day. We do technical and engineering work, mostly fixing parts or dealing with small machinery. Our shop is full of tools and metal scraps. It’s not the tidiest place, but we know where everything is kept. Usually, people come to us when something breaks and they can't find a replacement part. We try our best to weld it or find a way to make it work again. We’ve been at this spot for a long time. The building is old and sometimes the roof leaks a little when it rains heavily, but we just put a bucket under it and keep working. My partner handles the lathe machine and I do the hand-tool stuff. We don't have a big sign out front, just the address and our name. Most people find us by asking the other shopkeepers in the lane. It’s a noisy environment with all the hammering and metal grinding, but we like the energy of Ajmeri Gate. We drink a lot of tea from the stall next door to keep ourselves going through the long afternoons. It's just honest, hard work every single day. We take things as they come and try to fix what's broken.
