Saifi Steel Works

We spend most of our days here at Saifi Steel Works, which is right in Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar. It is a busy spot. If you look for Shradhanand Park, we are not far from there on the Main Road, specifically at D 2. It gets pretty loud around here with all the trucks moving in and out of the transport hub. That is just how it is in this part of town. We have been handling steel for a while now. The workshop floor is usually covered in scrap and the smell of cut metal is always in the air. Sometimes the dust from the main road gets inside, but we just sweep it out and keep going. Most of the people around here know us because we have been in this spot for some time. We start early when the sun is just coming up over the park area. By the time the afternoon heat hits, we are usually deep into whatever project is on the bench. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace where things get done with hammers and torches. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. Just the shop floor and the tools we use every day. It’s a lot of manual labor and staying on our feet. People stop by, ask about things, and we tell them what we can do. It’s a simple way to make a living in a crowded area like this.
