S K Engineering Works

S K Engineering Works is located at D-38, Sec-4 in the DSIIDC Industrial Area. If you’ve been to this part of the city, you know it’s a massive place with hundreds of small shops just like ours. We do a bit of everything when it comes to engineering. We have a lathe, a milling machine, and some welding gear. The shop is small and can get pretty crowded when we have a big project going on. There’s always the smell of cutting oil and the sound of metal being ground down. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't busy. We’ve been in this sector for a long time and we know most of our neighbors. Sometimes we borrow a tool from the shop next door, and sometimes they come to us. It’s a good community. We don't use computers much for the actual work. We prefer to use our hands and the old machines that we know how to maintain. It’s not a clean job. Our clothes usually have a few holes and plenty of grease stains. We don't have a vision or anything like that. We just want to do a good job on the parts we make so people come back next time. We work hard, we take our breaks, and we go home. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in the industrial area. It keeps us going.
