Navin Metal

Singlepur Village isn't exactly the center of the world, but it’s where we are. Navin Metal has been operating out of 25/26 for quite some time. Being near Shalimar Bagh helps because people can find us, but we are tucked away enough that it stays quiet some mornings. We deal with a lot of metal pieces and parts. My hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch time. We don’t have a big corporate office or anyone wearing suits. It’s mostly just us in our work clothes, moving stuff around the yard. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit disorganized, and we spend half a day just trying to find one specific pipe or sheet. It’s a bit chaotic, but we have a system that works for us. The neighbors are mostly other workshops, so nobody complains about the noise when we are cutting or loading the trucks. We don't have a big website or a marketing person. If you need something, you usually just show up or call the landline. We try to keep the prices fair because we know how hard everyone else is working too. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard in July, but we just move the stock out of the way. It’s a practical way to live. We just keep the gates open and see what the day brings. It’s simple work, but it pays the bills and keeps us active in the community.
