Our office is at 234 in Chawri Bazar. If you have ever been here, you know how packed the streets get with people and handcarts carrying heavy rolls of paper or hardware. It is a loud area. Mlm India Limited has been operating from this spot for a while now. The staircase up to the office is a bit narrow, so you have to be careful if you are carrying anything large. Inside, it is mostly desks and a few old filing cabinets. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop by. It is not the kind of place with a fancy lobby. We have some wooden chairs for visitors and a big table where we spread out the paperwork. Sometimes it gets a bit dark in the afternoon, so we keep the lights on even when it is sunny outside. People in the market know us by now. We usually start the day early before the heat gets too bad. The tea seller nearby knows exactly how we like our chai, which helps on the busy mornings. There is always someone coming or going. We deal with various things depending on what the clients ask for. It is a lot of coordination and making sure the numbers match up at the end of the day. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about that. It is just how things are in this part of town.
