Mighty Steel

Shop Number 20 in Sadar Bazar is where you will find us, right across from the Delhiwala Dawakhana. If you have ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know how hectic it gets. There is always someone shouting, trucks unloading, and people everywhere. We deal in steel, so our shop is full of heavy rods, sheets, and pipes. It is a heavy job, and we are usually pretty tired by the time we close up for the night. My father started this and now I am the one running the show with a couple of helpers. We do not have a website or fancy brochures. People just come to the counter and tell us what they need for their construction or their small workshop. We cut things to size and help load them up. The air is always a bit metallic and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep. It is a rough environment but we have grown to love the pace of the bazar. We see all kinds of people, from big contractors to a guy just needing a single piece of pipe for a home repair. We treat everyone the same and try to get them on their way quickly. Being opposite the dawakhana makes us easy to find. We are just a local steel shop doing what we have done for years, keeping things simple and working hard in the middle of the crowd.
