Being located in Chandni Chowk means there is almost always some kind of noise or shouting going on outside. Our shop at Fatehpuri is right in the middle of all that chaos. At 292/293, the place has stayed pretty much the same for a long time. We are not trying to be a modern store with bright lights. The shelves are quite old and the floors have definitely seen better days over the decades. It is just Meghraj & Sons, a name people recognize when they walk through the market. Opening up early is necessary because the whole area gets busy very fast. You see all sorts of people passing by the Chowk every single day. Some stop in to see what we have and others just glance and keep walking. Business is handled the way it was taught to us by the people who ran it before. It is a bit cramped inside because we have so much stock piled up. If you are looking for a shiny showroom, this is definitely not the place for you. We just focus on getting the work done and serving the people who come in. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to get to it. It is loud and it is crowded, but it is where we belong. We have seen this whole neighborhood change, but our shop stays the same. It is a simple thing for the family.
