Noor Crockery

Our shop is No.19 in the Old Meena Bazar area. It’s a small place but we have it packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of plates, cups, and bowls. If you’ve ever walked through the bazar, you know how crowded it gets, and our shop is right in the thick of it. We’ve been here for a lot of years now. It started out small and we just kept adding more stock as time went on. Sometimes it's hard to even move around in here because we have so many boxes stacked up. We spend a lot of our time just helping people find a specific kind of glass or a matching set of dishes for their home. Everything is a bit dusty because of all the people walking past outside, so we do a lot of cleaning every morning. We don't have any fancy displays or lighting, just some old shelves that have been here as long as we have. It’s a loud place to work with all the shouting from the market, but we’ve grown to like the noise. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we all just do our own thing. People come to us when they need something practical for their kitchen, and we just show them what we’ve got on the shelves. It’s a simple way to make a living and we like being part of the history here.
