Manohar Lal Jai Prakash

Our place is located right at Plot No. 223/24 in Katra Peran. If you know Tilak Bazar, you know it gets pretty crowded and loud with all the carts and people moving around. Manohar Lal Jai Prakash is tucked in there, and we've been operating out of this space for as long as I can remember. The walls are a bit stained from the years, and the floor has some cracks, but it holds up. We spend our mornings opening up the shutters and getting the stock ready. It’s mostly just hard work and long hours. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or big signs. Usually, we're just busy handling orders or making sure the ledger is right. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and keeping track of what goes in and out. Tilak Bazar has a rhythm to it, and we are just part of that daily noise. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, so we sit and wait it out. We don't have a website or anything like that, just this physical spot where we show up every day. Most of our neighbors have been here for decades too. It’s a tight space, but we make it work. We just do what we need to do and go home to our families when the day is done. The smells of spices and old wood are always in the air here. It’s just how things are in the bazar.
