Mahadev Traders is located at 1112/9 in Chhatta Madan Gopal, right in the heart of Bazar Maliwara. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know it’s a tight squeeze with narrow lanes and lots of people. Our shop is a small, traditional space that’s been part of this bazaar for a long time. It’s packed with goods from floor to ceiling, and sometimes you have to move a stack of boxes just to find a place to stand. The walls are old and the floor is a bit uneven, but it has a lot of character. We spend our days dealing with various goods and talking to the other traders in the lane. There’s always a lot of shouting and haggling going on outside, which is just the way life is in Bazar Maliwara. We don't have a computer system; everything is done the old-fashioned way with ledgers and pens. It’s a busy, dusty environment, and we’re often drinking tea while we wait for the next customer. The shop gets quite dark in the back, so we have a few bare bulbs hanging from the ceiling. We aren't looking to be a modern storefront; we like the way things are. It’s honest work in a place that has a lot of history. People know they can find us here six days a week, doing what we’ve always done.
