About M. S. Arts – Media & Advertising in North Delhi
Getting to 1599, Andheri Gali, in Pahari Bhojla can be a bit of a challenge if you aren't familiar with Turkman Gate. The lanes are very narrow, so you have to walk or take a cycle rickshaw. M. S. Arts is tucked away in one of these old streets. The building is quite old, with thick walls and small windows. Inside, we have our workspace where we do various types of art and craft work. It’s mostly manual labor, using our hands and simple tools. The lighting isn't the best, so we use extra lamps on the desks. There is a lot of history in this area, and you can feel it when you walk through the Gali. We have been here for a long time, and the neighbors all know us. We usually drink tea together in the mornings before the work starts. It’s a slow pace of life here. We don't have a big storefront with glass windows; it’s more of a workshop where people come specifically to find us. Most of our work comes from word of mouth. Sometimes the rain leaks through the old roof, and we have to move everything quickly. We just deal with those things as they happen. It’s not a polished business, just a family-run place doing what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and finish the day's tasks.
