Mandi Design Studio

You can find us at No. 212-A in Chawri Bazar. If you have ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how incredibly busy and crowded it is. The streets are very narrow and there is always a lot of noise from the rickshaws and the people passing by. Our studio is tucked away in an old building that has seen better days. It isn't the easiest place to find, but we have been here for a long time. We do a lot of our design work on paper first, so the studio is usually covered in drawings and fabric swatches. It is a bit of a mess, but we know where everything is. We take a lot of inspiration from the history of Chawri Bazar and all the old buildings around us. It is loud and dusty outside, but we’ve gotten used to the chaos over the years. We work with a small group of tailors who help us turn our sketches into real clothes. We don't have a big showroom with glass windows. Most of our customers find us through word of mouth. We spend a lot of our time walking through the nearby markets to find the right materials for our projects. It is hard work dealing with the heat and the crowds every day, but this is where our business belongs. We just focus on making decent clothes.
