Our place is located at 4008, Gali Bansi Koyle Wali, which is right across from the Raghu Shree Market near Ajmeri Gate. Narrow lanes full of life are what you find in this part of the old city. Carrying heavy loads and the smell of street food is just part of the daily routine. Packing the shop from floor to ceiling with all the items we sell makes it a bit of a squeeze. Fancy display cases or bright lights aren't something we use. Everything is just stacked where we can find it. Being in this spot for a very long time means we know almost every face that walks past our door. Rhythm of the market across the street is something we are just a part of. Corporate mission statements or vision boards aren't our way of doing things. Opening up early in the morning to sweep the front is how the day starts. Summer heat in the narrow lane gets intense, so a small fan usually hums in the corner to keep the air moving. Ledgers and big registers are how we keep our accounts instead of fancy computers. Talking to customers like they are neighbors comes naturally because most of them are. It is a busy, dusty, and loud way to live, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
