Kapil Crockery

Azad Market is a loud place, and we are right in the middle of it at number 208. Being on Library Road means there is never a quiet moment. Kapil Crockery has boxes stacked up pretty much everywhere you look. It is hard to keep things organized when new stuff is coming in and people are asking for things all day long. The building at 10223 has been here for years, and you can see the age in the bricks and the way the door creaks. We spend a lot of time just moving crates around so we can find what a customer is looking for. It is a bit of a maze inside. Sometimes the light bulbs flicker and we have to give them a tap to stay on. People walking by on Library Road often peek in just to see the piles of plates and cups. It is not a shiny showroom like the ones you see in the big malls. We have dust on the shelves and the floor gets dirty fast with all the foot traffic from the market. It’s just how it goes when you’re doing business in a crowded spot like this. We try to keep the tea hot and the orders moving, even when the traffic outside is at a complete standstill. It’s a lot of work, but this is where we belong. We just keep going, day after day, handling one plate at a time.
