Our place is on the first floor of Plot No 75 on G B Road. If you know G B Road, you know it’s always moving, always noisy. We are right in the thick of it. The office and warehouse space is where we keep all the bearings and power equipment. It’s heavy stuff, so there’s always a bit of lifting and shifting going on. The shelves are packed tight with boxes, and everything has that slight smell of machine oil. We have a small counter where we talk to customers who come in looking for specific parts. It’s a lot of technical talk about sizes and specifications. The first-floor location means we’re constantly looking down at the traffic and the people on the street below. We don’t have any polished floors or fancy lighting. It’s a warehouse-style office meant for business. Most of the guys here have grease on their hands by noon. We take our work seriously but keep the atmosphere pretty casual. We’ve got a small area for tea where we take a break when things get too hectic. Dealing with bearings means you have to be precise, so we spend a lot of time checking numbers and orders. It’s a busy life here on G B Road, and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time. Once the shutters go down at the end of the day, it’s a relief to finally have some quiet. We just lock up and go home.
