J Kumar Jain And Associates is on the first floor over at B 1 34 in Model Town II. Being in Delhi, especially in a place like Model Town, means there is never a dull moment outside our window. Our office is a bit of an old-school setup. We have wooden desks and bookshelves filled with thick volumes that we actually use. It’s not one of those modern offices with bean bags and neon lights. We prefer it this way because it feels more serious for the kind of work we do. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, but they keep us moving. We spend a lot of time talking to people who come in with various problems they need help with. We don't use a lot of jargon or try to sound more important than we are. Usually, we just sit down, offer a glass of water, and get right to the point. The office can get a bit stuffy in the afternoon, so we usually have the windows open to catch a breeze, even if it brings in the Delhi noise. We’ve been part of this community for years, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Despite all the changes, we’re still here at the same spot, doing the same practical work we’ve always done for our associates and clients.
