Hem Deep Associates is right in the middle of the chaos of Bhagirath Palace. If you’ve ever been to Harim Ram Market, you know how crowded it gets with all the shops and people carrying boxes. Our shop is No 1892-108. It’s a small space, tightly packed with inventory from floor to ceiling. You have to be careful where you step sometimes because there might be a delivery waiting to be sorted. Being in Old Delhi means it’s always loud and there is a constant energy. We get to work early to beat the worst of the crowd, but by noon, the alleys are full. We spend most of our time answering phones and checking the stock levels. It’s dusty and the building is old, but this market has everything you could ever need. We drink a lot of tea here, mostly ordered from the guy who walks around with a kettle. There isn't much room for a proper break area, so we just eat lunch at the main desk. It’s a family-style environment where everyone knows each other’s business. We’ve been in this market for a long time and have seen shops come and go. Dealing with the daily rush is just part of the life here. It’s not a polished corporate office, just a real shop in a very busy part of the city. We close up when the market starts to quiet down late in the evening.
