Harish Kumar & Co is located in Chandni Chowk, right in Katra Asharfi. Our specific spot is B 557/58/4. If you have ever been to Katra Asharfi, you know it is one of those places where history feels very close. The building is old, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it has a lot of character. We deal with textiles mostly, so the room is usually full of rolls of cloth and different patterns. It can get a bit overwhelming for someone who isn't used to it. We have been in this same spot for a generation. My father worked here before me. We don't really do branding or anything like that. We just know our fabrics and we know our customers. Most of the people who buy from us have been doing so for decades. They come in, we have some chai, and we talk about the market. It’s a slow process sometimes, but it’s the right way to do things in Chandni Chowk. The area is always crowded with rickshaws and tourists, but once you step inside the Katra, it feels a bit more focused. We don't have a big team, just enough people to handle the heavy lifting and the cutting. We stay busy, especially when the wedding season starts. It's just a regular family business trying to do right by the people we serve every day.
