Design Concepts

Our office is over at 204 on the second floor of Gupta Tower. It’s part of that big commercial complex right near Aakash Cinema in Azadpur. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets, especially when there’s a new movie out and the traffic just stops. Design Concepts is just one of many small businesses in this building. We have a couple of rooms that stay pretty cluttered with papers, samples, and whatever else we are working on at the moment. The elevator in Gupta Tower is a bit slow and sometimes it makes a weird noise, so most of us just take the stairs to the second floor. It’s good exercise anyway. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist to greet people. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us at a desk. The windows look out over the street and it’s always interesting to watch the chaos of Azadpur below. Sometimes the tea boy comes around and that’s usually the highlight of the afternoon. It gets a bit hot in the summer because the building doesn't have the best cooling, so we have a few fans going all day. It’s not a shiny corporate office, just a practical place where we come to handle our business. We’ve been here long enough that the security guard downstairs doesn’t even ask for our IDs anymore.
