Our shop is located at 2654 Sadar Thana Road in the middle of Sadar Bazar. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know it’s a total madhouse. There are people and carts everywhere. Our place is small and packed tight with brass and copper items. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes we have to climb up like monkeys to get something down. It’s a family business that’s been here since my father’s time. We don't have any shiny brochures or a marketing plan. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the customers to walk in. Dealing with the crowd every day is exhausting, but it’s the life of the market. We spend a lot of time haggling over prices because that’s just how things work here. There’s a lot of dust from the street and the air feels heavy, but we don't mind it much. We have a small stove in the back to make tea for ourselves and the regulars. We aren't trying to be the biggest in the market. We just want to keep the shop running and provide for our families. It’s a very simple, old-school way of doing business without any of the modern polish.
