Bombay Cutlery House

If you walk into the Gurudwara Market in Green Park Extension, you’ll find us at C-1/1. Bombay Cutlery House has been tucked away in this corner for years. It’s one of those shops where you have to be careful not to knock anything over with your elbows because there is so much packed in. We have spoons, knives, and all sorts of kitchen things stacked right up to the ceiling. The bells from the Gurudwara nearby are a constant sound in the background, which is actually quite nice. The shop floor is a bit narrow, and sometimes two people can barely pass each other in the aisles. We spend a lot of time helping people find that one specific size of pot or a particular type of fork they lost from their set. The metal items catch the light from the old tube lights we have fixed on the walls. It isn't a modern showroom by any means. The wooden counters have scratches from years of sliding boxes across them. In the summers, the small fan in the corner barely does much, but we are used to it. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we often share a quick tea while waiting for the next customer. It’s a tight-knit market, and we are just happy to be a part of it.
