Bhagwati Kitchenware

Bhagwati Kitchenware is located at Delhi G P O, D 2. We handle all sorts of kitchen items that people use every day. If you need a pressure cooker or some stainless steel plates, this is where we keep them. The shop is small and it’s usually filled with the sound of metal clinking together. We don't have a big philosophy about cooking. We just think people should have solid pots and pans that don't break after a month. We’ve been in the G P O area for a while, and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit. A lot of our customers are families who have lived nearby for generations. They come to us because they know we aren't going anywhere. We don't spend money on glossy brochures or television ads. We just keep the shop open and make sure we have enough stock for whoever walks in. It’s a simple life. We open the shutters in the morning, dust off the displays, and wait for the first customer. Sometimes we have tea with the other shop owners nearby. It’s a community. We don't pretend to be more than a kitchenware shop. If you need something for your stove, we probably have it sitting on a shelf somewhere in the back. It’s just honest retail work in a busy part of town, and we like being part of it every single day we are here.
