You’ll find Bajaj Equipments Ltd. at A-97/6 in the Wazirpur Industrial Area. This part of Delhi is always moving and shaking. There’s a lot of steel and metal work happening all around us, and the trucks are always blocking the narrow lanes. Our unit is an older one, with heavy doors and a concrete floor that’s seen a lot of use over the years. We deal with heavy equipment, so things are naturally weighty and often a bit oily. It’s definitely a place where you need to wear sturdy shoes. We’ve got machines that have been with us for a long time, and we know all their sounds and moods like they were people. The lighting isn't great, but we have big lamps hanging over the main work areas. Most of the guys here have been working together for over a decade now. We’ve seen the industrial area change, with new buildings going up and old ones being torn down. We stay the same, mostly. We show up, we do the work, and we make sure the equipment is handled the right way. There’s a lot of banging and clanging throughout the day, so you have to speak up to be heard.
