Bajaj Cards

Down in the middle of Chawri Bazar, in Gali Kayasthan, you’ll find us at 3858/4. Bajaj Cards has been around this part of Charkewalan for quite some time. It’s a narrow lane, and it’s always packed with people and carts, but that’s just life in the market. We mostly do wedding cards and other types of printing. The shop is small and filled with samples of paper, ink, and different designs. It smells like fresh print and old paper in here. We spend a lot of time talking to families who are planning big events. It can get pretty loud and crowded when a whole family comes in to pick a card design. We have some old printing presses that still do a great job, though they require a lot of maintenance and oiling. My uncle started this shop, and now I’m the one looking after it. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; some things are still written down in big ledgers with a pen. It’s a bit chaotic during the wedding season, and we often work late into the night to get the bundles ready for the customers. We don’t have a showroom or a glossy brochure. You just come in, look at the samples on the shelf, and we talk about what you need. It’s a busy, cramped, but friendly little place in the heart of the bazaar.
