Sardar Enterprize

We operate Sardar Enterprize out of Kaliani village in the Deganga area of 24 Parganas North. It's a quiet place mostly, surrounded by fields and local houses. We do a bit of everything here to keep the business going. Sometimes it's trading, sometimes it's helping locals with supplies they can't get elsewhere. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have lived here all our lives. The shop is part of the community, so we see the same faces every day. We don't really have a set schedule sometimes, if someone knocks on the door we usually open up. It’s not like the big shops in the city where everything is strictly timed. We handle our own deliveries with a small truck when it's working properly. The roads around Deganga can be a bit rough after the rains, which slows us down. We don't bother with fancy signs or bright lights. People know where we are by word of mouth. It's an honest way to work. We try to be fair with everyone who comes through our door. There isn't much more to it than that, just local people serving the village and making ends meet. It gets dark early here so we usually wind down when the sun goes. Our families live close by, so we aren't ever really far from the shop.
