You can find us over at Ashutosh Nagar in Pogarulia, which is in the 24 Parganas North district of West Bengal. It is a bit of a trek to get here if you aren't from the immediate area, but it’s where we do our thing. The office isn't anything you'd see in a magazine. It’s a practical space where we handle all our technical requirements. The neighborhood has a certain rhythm to it, and we are just a small part of that. Most of the staff here have been around for a while, so we know each other's habits and how we like our tea. We spend a lot of time looking at detailed drawings and making sure all the specifications are exactly where they need to be. It’s the kind of work that takes a lot of patience and a steady hand. During the rainy season, the streets outside can get a bit messy, but we stay dry inside and keep the computers running. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy slogans for us. We just show up, do the work that is assigned, and try to avoid making mistakes. It is a simple life here in the office, filled with the sound of fans and the occasional hum of the printer in the corner. We just keep our heads down and stay busy until it’s time to head back home.
