Our business is located in Naihati, specifically on Thakurpara Road at 19/C. It’s in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. We’ve been here for quite some time now. The street is usually pretty busy with rickshaws and people walking to the market. We deal with steel, so there’s often a bit of noise when deliveries are coming in or out. The building isn't very new. It’s got that old Bengal style with some wear and tear. We like it that way. It’s comfortable. Inside, it’s mostly just us and our ledgers. We don't use many fancy gadgets. A few fans to keep the air moving in the summer is all we really need. Most of the people working here are from the local neighborhood. We know our customers by name and they know us. It’s not like those big companies in Kolkata where you never meet the boss. Here, you can just walk in and talk to whoever is around. Sometimes the rains make Thakurpara Road a bit difficult to navigate, but we manage. We handle the supply of steel for different local projects. It’s steady work and it keeps us occupied. We don't put up big advertisements or anything like that. People know we are at 19/C if they need anything made of steel. It’s just a regular, honest way to make a living in Naihati.
