We’ve been here in Basirhat for a good while now, right on S.N. Majumder Road. If you know the Sainpala area, you probably know where Parimal Pal’s place is. That’s where we get things done. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s a workplace where we handle steel. Most days start early because there is always something to load or a pile of paperwork that needs sorting. The local traffic on the road can get a bit much around noon, but we manage. People stop by to talk about orders or just to see how things are moving along. We try to keep things simple. Steel is heavy work, and it’s what we know. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to actually hear the birds outside. We don't have a big marketing team writing stuff for us. It’s just us here, making sure the steel goes where it’s supposed to go. Dealing with the heat in West Bengal during the summers makes the work even tougher, but it’s part of the life here. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, more shops opening up, but our spot stays pretty much the same. If you’re looking for the steel yard, just head towards the post office area and ask for us. We are usually around from morning until late evening, just keeping the business running as best as we can without much fuss.
