F.C.College

F.C.College is located on Diamond Harbor Road, which is also NH-117. We are right in Diamond Harbour in West Bengal. Being on a national highway means there is always a lot of movement outside our gates. Trucks and buses go by all day long. The college itself is a big part of the local life here. Many people in this area came to this college when they were younger. We have students who travel from quite far away using the local trains or buses to get here every morning. The building is large and has seen many years of use. There are wide hallways and big classrooms that get a nice breeze when the windows are open. We offer different courses, mostly for young people who want to get their degrees without going all the way into Kolkata. The staff here is a mix of older teachers who have been here forever and some younger ones just starting out. We don't have a lot of modern luxuries. The canteen is simple and serves basic tea and snacks. Most of the time, the students are hanging out in the common areas or sitting under the trees when they aren't in class. It is a place that feels very much like the rest of Diamond Harbour—busy, a bit loud, but also very familiar to everyone. We just go about our business of teaching and helping the students through their exams every year.
