Bharati Company

Bharati Company is based in Banamalipur, right near the Barasat Hospital. Being in 24 Parganas North, the area stays crowded from morning until night. There is always the sound of traffic and horns blaring right outside our door. Our building is nothing special to look at, just a practical space where we handle our daily business. Inside, the floors are a bit uneven and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we need. We have old wooden tables piled high with folders and ledger books. We still use carbon paper for a lot of our notes because that is the way we have always done things here. Sometimes the power goes out in the heat of the afternoon, so we just open the windows and keep working by the natural light. We don't have a fancy lobby or any air conditioning. There are just a few plastic chairs for anyone who needs to sit down for a minute. Most of our day is spent checking shipments and talking to the delivery drivers who manage to navigate the busy hospital road. It is just honest work. We show up early, do what needs to be done, and head home when the sun starts to go down. We have been part of this neighborhood for years and everyone around here knows where to find us if they need something.
