Sunil Communication Centre

Sunil Communication Centre is tucked away in Gali Number 1 in Barola. It is right in Sector 49 but a bit off the main road. The lane is narrow so it's mostly people walking or on bicycles. I have been running this place for a long time. It started as just a small booth for phone calls and now we do all sorts of things. We help people with their mobile connections and some paperwork. The shop is a bit dark because the buildings around us are tall. I keep a lamp on my desk all day. There is always a stack of papers and some old folders near the entrance. I try to keep things organized but it is hard when you are busy all day. People from the neighborhood come here because they know me by name. We chat about the weather or how the kids are doing in school. It is more than just a business for me. Gali Number 1 can get a bit muddy when it rains so I have to sweep the floor a lot. I have a wooden bench outside where people can sit if I am busy with another person. It’s a quiet corner of Barola compared to the main chowk. I like it this way. I usually close up early on Sundays to spend time with my family. Most days I am here from ten in the morning until late evening. It is a simple life and I don't ask for much more than that.
