Sameer Telecom

Down here in Kadalpur, things move at their own pace. Sameer Telecom is located in a part of Noida that feels a bit different from the high-rise areas. Being in G B Nagar, we get all sorts of people walking in. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular storefront with a shutter that sticks a bit when it rains. I’ve lived around here most of my life, so I know a lot of the faces that pass by every day. It’s mostly just me behind the counter. I start the day by sweeping the front step because the wind blows a lot of dirt around this part of Noida. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so I usually have a small fan running that makes a bit of a humming noise. Sometimes the kids from the neighborhood hang around outside. I don't mind it as long as they aren't too loud. The shelves are mostly full of things people ask for the most. I don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know I’m here. It’s a practical way to spend the day. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit in the dark for a bit until it comes back on. That’s just life in Kadalpur. I keep a diary of things I need to order, but sometimes I forget to check it. It's a one-man show mostly for the most part.
