Sachin Communication is our little shop located in Sector 44. It’s tucked away in a spot that’s mostly residential, so we don’t get the massive crowds like the shops in the main markets do. Instead, we have regulars who live in the nearby flats. They come to us for everything from a new screen guard to getting their phone software updated. The shop is quite clean, but it’s small and filled with the smell of the incense we light every morning. I have a small desk where I do all the repair work, and it’s usually covered in bits of wire and old phone shells. We have a rack of memory cards and USB drives near the entrance. The floor is a bit uneven, so the display case rattles a little whenever someone walks in quickly. We don't really do any big advertising; people just find us by word of mouth or by walking past on their way to the grocery store. In the afternoons, when things are slow, I usually spend time cleaning the shelves or organizing the drawers. We have a small plastic clock on the wall that makes a loud ticking sound, which is sometimes the only thing you can hear. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we’re happy to be part of the community here in this part of the city.
