We've been at B-93B in Sector-2 for a while now. The shop is up on the first floor, so you have to walk up those stairs every day, which gets tiring when we have a lot of fabric rolls coming in. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for the machines and the cutting table. Most days it’s pretty loud with the clicking and humming of the sewing. We usually start early in the morning before it gets too hot upstairs. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit by the window and wait for it to come back. There’s a tea stall just around the corner where we get our chai twice a day. The guys there know our order by heart now. Ritu Garments isn't fancy, just a workspace where we get things done. We deal with lots of different threads and cloths. Sometimes the floor gets covered in scraps and we have to sweep it up three or four times. It’s just how it is. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, more buildings going up. But our little corner on the first floor stays mostly the same. We just keep busy with whatever orders are on the desk for that week. It's practical work and it keeps us occupied. Nothing more to it than that really. Just us working and trying to stay on top of the pile.
