Down on Plot No. 51 at Udyog Vihar, things stay pretty busy. We’re located along the Surajpur Kasna Road. It’s an industrial area, so there are always big trucks passing by and the sound of machinery from the neighboring plots. Inside our space, it’s mostly about managing the stock and making sure things are moving. We have a lot of electronics and parts coming in and out. It’s a lot of standing and walking on hard floors all day. We wear our work clothes and just get on with the tasks. It’s not like those fancy offices you see on TV. There’s a lot of tape, cardboard, and bubble wrap everywhere. We have to be careful with the boxes because the stuff inside is delicate. Sometimes we stay a bit late if a shipment is delayed. The tea stall down the road is where we usually take our breaks. It gives us a chance to get away from the hum of the warehouse. We’ve worked here for a while and we know the layout by heart. It’s a lot of routine. Check the list, find the box, move it to the loading dock. It sounds simple but it keeps us busy from morning till evening. The sun hits the metal roof in the summer and it gets quite warm inside. We just drink plenty of water and keep moving.
