Pradeep Communication

If you go down to Rao Ji Market in Dadri, you will find Pradeep Communication tucked away among the other shops. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always a lot of shouting and horns honking outside our door. Inside, it is a bit quieter, filled with the smell of plastic and sometimes solder when we are fixing a motherboard. We have a lot of different accessories hanging up, like those colorful phone covers and long charging wires that people always need. The counter is made of dark wood and has a few scratches on it from years of people sliding their phones across to show us a problem. We spend many hours sitting on plastic chairs, looking through magnifying glasses or trying to get a stubborn SIM tray to open. People come in from the market with their bags of vegetables and sit down for a minute to get their balance checked or to pay a bill. It is a small space, so we have to keep everything very organized on the shelves behind us. The floor is tiled and we sweep it twice a day, but the dust from Rao Ji Market always finds its way back in. We usually keep a radio playing some old songs in the background to pass the time when it isn't too busy. It’s just a normal shop where we do our work and talk to the people who live nearby.
