New York Film Academy

We are located in Sector 18 at number 701. New York Film Academy has a bit of a big name, but our local spot here is pretty grounded. It’s a place where people interested in movies and cameras hang out and try to learn the craft. The hallways are often filled with students carrying tripods or talking about a script they’re writing. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s a creative one. We’ve got some rooms set up for editing and others for classes, and it’s all a bit lived-in. The furniture is practical and used daily. Sector 18 is a busy area, so there’s always something going on right outside our doors. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, mostly just some posters and student work. It’s about the work people do here, not about looking like a high-end office. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks down, and everyone gets a bit grumpy until it's fixed. We keep a regular schedule, but things often run late when a shoot is going on. It’s just the nature of the business. People from different backgrounds come here to learn, and it’s interesting to see what they come up with. We’re just here at 701, keeping the lights on and the cameras rolling for whoever wants to learn. It’s a straightforward setup for people who are serious about films. We don't spend a lot of time on formalities. Usually, we just get straight to the gear and the lessons.
