We occupy shop number 2. It’s a practical space where we deal with people every day. Most of our time goes into talking with folks about their careers or helping businesses find someone to help them out. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of listening. The market is loud and full of life, which keeps us on our toes. We don’t have a flashy office with glass walls; it’s more about the work we do at our desks. People drop in all the time to drop off their papers or just ask a quick question. We try to keep a handle on everything, even when things get a bit hectic around lunch. The Delhi weather keeps things interesting too. Being in Lajpat Nagar means we see all sorts of people from different walks of life. It’s a good spot for a consultancy because everyone knows where the market is. We just focus on the task at hand, whether that’s sorting through a stack of applications or making follow-up calls.
