I set up Krishna Telecom right here in Dadri quite a few years ago. It’s just me and a small space where I keep all the cables and phone parts. Dadri is a place where everyone kind of knows each other, so I end up talking more than I probably should while working. The shop stays open until the sun goes down, sometimes a bit later if a neighbor needs a quick recharge for their phone. I don't have a big staff or any of those fancy computers to track everything. I just use a notebook and a pen to keep things straight. Sometimes the dust gets in from the road, so I spend a lot of time wiping down the glass cases. People come in with phones that have seen better days, and I do what I can to make them last a bit longer. It’s honest work and it keeps me busy. I grew up around here, so staying in Dadri felt like the right choice when I wanted to start something of my own. The shop is small, and if three people come in at once, it feels full. But that is how it goes with local businesses. We don't have flashy lights or loud music playing. It’s just a quiet corner where you can get your mobile sorted out without any fuss. I like the routine of opening up every morning and seeing the town wake up. It isn't a huge operation, but it is mine and it works.
