Future Talk

Future Talk is over at Savitri Market in Sector 18, specifically at shop G-9. We have been in this little corner for a while now, watching the market change around us. The shop is mostly glass and metal shelves, filled with the latest gadgets we can get our hands on. It’s a small space, but we make it work by stacking things high. I spend most of my time behind the main counter, talking to people about why their phones are acting up or showing them how a new camera works. We get a lot of office workers from the nearby buildings who pop in during their lunch break because they need a new screen guard or their charger stopped working. It can be a bit chaotic when three people are talking at once, but we just take it one person at a time. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking, and the overhead light flickers sometimes, but it feels like home to us. We aren't corporate people; we are just guys who know a lot about mobile technology and like living in Noida. There’s a certain routine to it—opening the locks in the morning, checking the inventory, and closing up when the market starts to quiet down at night. It’s just honest work in a busy place. We don't do much besides work on phones and chat with the neighbors.
