Dev Mobile Shop is right in the middle of the Barola Main Market in Sector-49. If you know the area, you know how loud and busy it gets around here, especially in the evenings when everyone is out buying vegetables. Our shop is at number 4, and it’s pretty easy to spot if you’re looking. We mostly deal with mobile phones, but not the high-end expensive ones you see in malls. It’s more about the practical stuff people need every day. We’ve got a lot of screen protectors and different types of cables hanging on the walls. The glass counters are usually full of second-hand phones that people traded in. It’s a lot of work keeping the dust off everything since the market road is always under some kind of construction. We spend our mornings setting things up and checking which batteries need charging. When a customer comes in with a broken charging port, we take a look and see what we can do. It’s just how we spend our days. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the stall next door while we wait for the next person to walk in. There’s no big corporate vibe here. It’s just us working in the market, trying to keep up with all the new phone models that seem to come out every other week. It is just a simple place for local people to get their gadgets sorted without any fuss.
