Our workshop is located at G 123 in Hira Nagar. If you come by, you’ll probably hear us before you see us. There is always the sound of metal hitting metal and the hum of the machines running. We make dies and various components here. It’s a dusty place, as you’d expect from a factory floor. We have oil stains on the floor and stacks of raw materials waiting to be processed. Most of us wear heavy boots and work clothes that have seen better days. We don't have a fancy front office with a receptionist. Usually, if someone comes by, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and goes to see what they need. We’ve been working out of this spot in Hira Nagar for quite some time. The roof is corrugated metal, so it gets really loud when it rains. We focus on the measurements and making sure the components fit exactly like they are supposed to. It’s repetitive work, but it’s what we know how to do. We don't have air conditioning out on the floor, so we keep the big doors open to let the breeze in when there is one. It’s a simple setup, but we have all the tools we need to get the job done right. We just keep our heads down and work through the orders as they come in every week.
