Classic Marble And Granites

Classic Marble And Granites is situated on the Main Dadri Road. We’re near the Jai Ambe Dharam Kanta in Sector-49, over in Village Barola. It’s a big open yard where we keep the stone. The granite slabs are very heavy and we keep them leaning against these big A-frames. We have a lot of different colors, mostly the dark ones that people like for kitchen counters. The marble is kept under a small tin roof to keep it out of the direct rain. It’s a messy place. We have a machine for cutting the slabs, and it uses a lot of water, so the ground is always a bit muddy. We wear rubber boots most of the day. People drive in from the main road and walk around the slabs. We give them a bottle of water to pour over the stone so they can see what the color looks like when it’s polished. It’s just us and a couple of laborers. We don't do any big marketing. Most people find us because they’re driving to the village or saw the sign near the Dharam Kanta. It’s honest work. We spend our days moving heavy things and talking to contractors. Sometimes we have a nice piece of Italian marble, but mostly it's local stone. We’ve been in Barola for a good while now.
