Orix Marbles

You can find Orix Marbles at No. H-89 in the I-Area, which is on Shaheed Arjun Sarona Marg. We are in H Block, Sector 9. It’s an industrial sort of place, so there isn't much shade around here. The yard is where we keep all the marble slabs. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving things with the crane. Marble is beautiful, but it’s a lot of work to keep it from cracking or chipping before it gets to a house. We spend our days walking around the slabs with people who are trying to pick the right color for their floors. It’s a lot of walking. The sun gets really hot in the middle of the day, so we usually take a long break then. We are not some big corporate office with people in suits. We wear boots and old clothes because of all the stone dust. My hands are always a bit rough from handling the stone. It is a quiet business for the most part, except when the cutting machines are running. We don't have a fancy catalog. You just have to come and see what we have on the racks that day. Every piece of stone is different, so it takes time to look. We just stay here and wait for the next truck to arrive. It is a slow process, but you can't rush marble. We've been at this address since they first opened up this industrial sector.
