V-13 in Sector 5 is right in the middle of the Harola Market action. B K Telecom Centre is basically just a small room filled with wires, phone boxes, and a lot of recharge coupons stacked up. We spend the whole day answering questions about data plans or why someone’s phone isn't catching the signal. It’s a noisy place because the market never really goes quiet until very late. We have a small stool behind the counter that’s seen better days and is a bit wobbly. The glass on the front display has a few scratches, but you can still see the mobile accessories clearly enough. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of stuff gets written down in a thick ledger book we keep under the desk. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the door if it’s a heavy storm, so we keep some old cloths handy to soak it up. Customers come in with phones that have been through a lot, mostly cracked screens or buttons that don't click anymore. We do what we can with the tools we have on the bench. It’s a humble spot but it keeps us busy from morning till night. The tea shop next door brings us snacks when we can't leave. By the time we pull the shutter down, our hands are usually a bit dirty from handling all those old gadgets and batteries, but that’s just a normal day.
