Our place is over at 1219 Kalyan Vas, which is in the Delhi 91 area, pretty close to Mayur Vihar Phase II. It is a very busy neighborhood with narrow streets and people everywhere. Finding parking near the office is a total nightmare, so most of us just take the bus or walk from the nearest stop. The building is older and has that typical Delhi look with lots of cables hanging outside and narrow entrances. Ats Infotech Pvt Ltd has been here for a bit, and we have kind of settled into the rhythm of the area. There are a lot of small shops around us selling everything from stationary to snacks, which is convenient when we need something quickly. Inside the office, things are a bit cluttered. We have piles of papers on most surfaces and the air conditioner makes a weird rattling sound if you leave it on for too long. It is not the kind of place you would see in a magazine, but it works for what we do every day. We know the local chai wala by name, and he usually brings us a tray in the afternoons when we are feeling a bit tired. The lighting inside is a bit dim, but we have some desk lamps to help out when it gets dark. It is just a regular, gritty Delhi workspace where we put in our hours and try to get everything finished. We spend a lot of time just talking about our families and the commute.
