You can find Altaf Telecom right on the main road in Sector 10, at B-59. It’s a convenient spot because people can just pull over their scooters and pop in. We handle all kinds of mobile stuff, mostly recharges and selling small accessories. The shop isn't very big but we make it work. I’ve been here for quite some time now, so I know most of the people who live in the blocks nearby. We have a glass counter full of different types of cables and adapters. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three people want something at the same time and I’m the only one here. I try to keep the latest recharge plans written on a board outside so people don't have to keep asking. The traffic on the main road can be loud, but you get used to it after a while. We also help people with their new SIM registrations which involves a bit of scanning and photos. It’s basic work but it keeps the lights on. I usually keep some cold water for the customers because it gets hot in the summer months. The shop stays open until nine at night usually. If I’m not behind the counter, I’m probably in the back checking the inventory. We aren't a big corporation, just a local business trying to help the neighborhood stay connected.
