We are located in Sector 44, near Cheelera in the Noida area of Uttar Pradesh. This part of the city is always under some kind of construction, so there’s usually a bit of dust in the air and the sound of trucks nearby. Our branch isn’t very big, but it stays busy because of the residential and commercial mix in this sector. The staff here is mostly local, and we spend our days dealing with the usual banking stuff like deposits and withdrawals. It’s not a very glamorous setup; we have the standard desks, some blue chairs for visitors, and stacks of ledgers that we try to keep organized. The mornings are usually the hardest because everyone wants to get their banking done before they head to their own offices. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep going. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles with the North Indian summer, but we manage. People from the nearby DDA pockets and the village area nearby come in often. It feels like a very normal, everyday kind of place. There aren't any big speeches or complicated philosophies here; we just sit down, open our systems, and work through the queue. By the time we close the shutters in the evening, we're usually pretty tired from the constant noise and the steady stream of people asking for help with their passbooks or ATM cards.
