Out here in Jamalapur, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Bestever Toys Pvt Ltd is located right by the Post Office in Markingunj, which is in the Ghazipur district of UP. We spend most of our time dealing with all the inventory and making sure everything is packed up correctly. It’s a lot of boxes and bright colors everywhere you look. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding the exact turn-off because the roads around here aren't always marked the best. We have a small group of people working here who mostly live nearby. It’s not a corporate environment at all, more like a place where everyone knows each other’s business and we share lunch in the back room. The machines make a steady humming noise all day, which you get used to after a week or two. In the summer, it gets pretty hot in the warehouse area, so we try to keep the fans going. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that, just some honest folks making sure kids get their playthings. Usually, the day ends around six and we lock up and head out. It’s a practical way to earn a living and we take it one day at a time without much fuss or bother about being the biggest or anything like that.
