Baba Paper Products

Up here in Pangara, near house number 1-51/45/11, we have our small setup for paper products. Nizamabad can get pretty hot, and the machines inside make it even warmer, but we keep the doors open to let the air move. We mostly make paper plates and cups that people use for small functions or roadside stalls. The stack of raw paper rolls takes up most of the space near the entrance. It is a bit loud when everything is running, so we have to shout a little to hear each other. We are not a big factory with hundreds of people. It is just a few of us making sure the edges of the plates are cut right. Sometimes the machine jams and we have to spend an hour fixing it with a bit of oil and some old tools. There is always paper scrap on the floor, no matter how much we sweep it up. Customers usually come by on their motorbikes to pick up a few bundles for a wedding or a birthday. We write the orders down on whatever scrap of paper is nearby. It is a simple way to work, and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. The road outside is a bit bumpy, but the delivery vans manage to get through okay. We have been doing this for several years now and the rhythm of the machines is something we know by heart. Even when the power goes out, we just sit outside and wait for it to come back.
